ABOUT ME

CONSULTANT - Inclusive Leadership & AI | Cultural Intelligence (CQ) | Emotional Intelligence (EQ) | Diversity Intelligence (DQ)

  • ME AND AI - I am deeply passionate about the transformative potential of AI serving as a versatile tool across many domains.

  • From automating mundane/repetitive tasks to Intelligence Augmentation where, when combined with Augmented Reality (AR), creates a powerful learning tool in fields like medicine, health & safety, security, aviation, inclusion and more. I'm also enthused about AI's role in disease diagnosis, precision quality control, increased efficiency & productivity, self-improvement (recommending resources for upskilling & reskilling), analysing habits, preferences, strengths & areas of improvement.

  • In addition, if trained within safe boundaries, AI can also be used as a tool for levelling up communities as well as, enhancing inclusion.

  • THIRD CULTURE - As a 'Third Culture Individual', meaning I have a unique insight and 'Insider/Outsider' advantage when it comes to navigating diverse cultures & understanding why people from different backgrounds & cultures, behave the way that they do. This insight & experience has enabled me to build relationships with, coach and advise leaders of Fortune 500 & FTSE 100 companies, fast-growing tech start-ups and family-run businesses in sectors incl. FMCG, mining, technology, consulting, banking, law, insurance, and, venture capital. My client list includes board members, co-founders who have raised $500M+, C-suite executives and, departmental heads from Europe, Africa and the USA.

  • HOBBIES AND VOLUNTARY - Outside of my professional pursuits, I engage in hobbies and volunteering. Mentoring students, going on early morning runs with our dog, travelling & exploring ice cream flavours in different countries (avocado ice-cream (Kenya), vanilla & pumpkin oil (Austria), honing my bread-making skills while learning my 4th language, and immersing myself in the wisdom of start-up founders, tech gurus, and, industry leaders.

  • Academically, I hold a B.A. Honours degree in Economics from Sussex University (UK), and I am certified by the British Psychological Society (BPS) in Psychometric testing. In 2010, I obtained the Prince2® UK Practitioner certification, showcasing my project management proficiency.

Third culture

Growing up as a
'Third Culture Individual' (TCI)

I'm a Third Culture Individual  (TCI), which means I was brought up in countries other than my own.

  • Growing up, I had the privilege of living, working, and forming friendships with individuals from diverse continents and backgrounds.

  • Even at a young age, I had the opportunity to visit churches, mosques, and temples with my friends.

  • This exposure to different cultures has continued throughout my adult life which has seen me closely collaborate with clients and candidates from all over the world.

  • Diversity for me, is not just a concept but a way of life. It has been ingrained in me since childhood and my real-life experiences have shaped my understanding of diversity.

  • With a strong foundation in Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and Cultural Intelligence (CQ), I believe I am well-equipped to guide my clients in developing their Diversity Intelligence (DQ).

  • As a coach, I have worked with leaders who have led or are currently leading teams in the USA, UK, EU, and East Africa.

  • I firmly believe that diversity should go beyond mere tolerance; it should be about acceptance, celebration and finding common ground while embracing our differences. I encourage my clients to embrace diversity as an enriching aspect of their teams and organisations.

  • Rather than relying solely on textbooks, my coaching approach draws from my personal experiences and the invaluable lessons I have learned along the way.

  • By fostering EQ and CQ in my clients, I empower them to create inclusive environments that respect and value diversity. This is achieved through our EQ+CQ=DQ methodology.
