When people ask me why I am so passionate about AI, I often point to companies like Humane™ an AI innovator developing technology that improves the human experience and is born from good intentions. No apps - just AI experiences that are on device and in the cloud.
Similar to what mobile phones did and continue to do (enabling the “unbanked” in emerging markets to send and receive money without the need for bank accounts or, active data connection), 'inclusive AI’ also possesses the capacity and capability to empower economies and individuals presently marginalised, to leapfrog directly into 21st-century advancements. It can do so by allowing people and countries to bypass or reduce reliance on costly 20th-century development methods (including expensive educational systems, outdated industrial practices, high-cost of physical and knowledge infrastructure) and see them leapfrog directly into 21st-century advancements.
From work to leisure, well-being to lifestyle, managing personal or care giving schedules, reminding us who a person is, at a networking event/interview, or even enabling our elderly parents to be more independent in their homes, there is so much that AI can do. The key lies in developing AI solutions with inclusivity at the forefront, ensuring that its capabilities contribute positively across diverse scenarios and needs.
